Starting with 18.7cm and 123 litres of extra space, compared to the Altea, the XL is filled with plenty of flexible solutions for larger families and what they bring along. A high roofline, collapsible forward sliding rear seats, abundant storage bins and a 532 litre boot capacity are just some of the standard features of the Altea XL's generous interior.

Technology, another priority. The sleek looking Altea XL feels like home on the road. It even comes with FM/AM Radio with MP3 compatible CD player, cruise control, heated and electrically folding mirrors, electric windows with anti-squeeze, among other hi tech features.

If unexpected situations should arise on the road, the Altea XL responds fast. It features six standard airbags, two front airbags (driver & passenger) with passenger airbag disconnection, two front seats side airbags, two curtain airbags (front and rear), two optional rear side airbags (excluding Reference and Stylance with Sports Pack) and three point seatbelts, which are pre-tensioned and height adjustable in the front.

Family protection comes first with rear ISOFIX points that enable two child seats to be anchored directly to the chassis. While crash-test proven crossbeams, safety-cab rings and reinforced pillars give the Altea XL a rock solid frame that spells peace of mind.

Further evidence that your family's safety is at the top of our list comes with a glance at the Altea's Euro NCAP ratings. The Altea has been awarded four Euro NCAP stars for 'Child Protection' and in the 'Adult Occupants Protection' category it scored five stars (the highest evaluation you can get). It's also one of the few vehicles in its class to win three stars for 'Pedestrian Protection'. It's a haul that puts the Altea XL among the safest cars on the market.
